July IHSW

I wish I could say this was an awesome weekend to hermit up and stitch, but I can't. I had too many things going on and failed miserably.

I did spend a tiny bit of time on my Mario Blanket.

I finished up "Gooba's Shoe" last week (I'll post on it later this week), and my son chose the hammer suit for me to crochet next.

I only have a teeny pattern to show the finished look. I hope you can see it:

I hope you guys made some great progress this past weekend. I'm looking forward to making the rounds and reading what you are up to.

IHSW | High Tide Sailboat Section Complete

This past weekend was International Hermit and Stitch Weekend. While I didn't get in as much stitching as I did last weekend while watching French Open tennis, I did hit a good milestone on High Tide. The Sailboat section is now complete (excluding the backstitching).

Once I backstitch this section, I will only have the border around High Tide left to do!

I hope you guys had a beautiful and productive weekend!

IHSW | High Tide Sailboat

This past weekend (week!) was one of the busiest this year. I knew I wouldn't have much time to stitch, but I signed up for International Hermit and Stitch Weekend anyway. It was the boost I needed to find the time to relax a minute.

I'm working on the sailboat section of High Tide. It's the very last section. I'm excited I will only have the border left to do once the sailboat is complete.

This is what the finished piece will look like:

I hope everyone had a fun and productive IHSW!

New Start: Harvest Moon and IHSW

This past weekend was International Hermit and Stitch Weekend (IHSW) over at Joyce's Random Ramblings.

I decided it was the perfect time to treat myself to a new start with Harvest Moon.

I was able to hermit up on Saturday with a bajillion episodes of Destination Truth on Netflix and get in a lot of stitching time.

My kids were unexpectedly excited to see me stitching on dark cloth. I brought out their lacing cards and let them stitch with me.

I didn't have as much time on Sunday to stitch, but I did get to spend some time finishing the bushes and stitching in the fence and a tree.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  Did you watch anything great while you stitched?  I'm apparently addicted to Destination Truth now...
